Ladies and gentlemen...the Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Center. #MahaloMarcus #GoDucks

On Thursday, the University of Oregon unveiled the Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Center, an extravagant facility funded by Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

Even NFL players may feel envious of the gigantic performance center, which looks like something out of a futuristic sci-fi movie. Heck, the Heisman-winning namesake might want to go back to school.

Featuring areas for recovery, physiology and movement all equipped with the finest technology money can buy, the center focuses on sports science. And it also looks like a mansion.

Per Greg Walker of GoDucks.com, Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens commented on the new facility:

The goal of this project was to create one space where we could utilize the most state-of-the-art technology to improve student-athlete wellness and emphasize our commitment to the health and safety of our student-athletes. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Phil and Penny Knight, we now have a world-class facility that is going to take the student-athlete experience at the University of Oregon to a level not previously seen anywhere on the collegiate level.

According to the Daily Emerald's Grace Sullivan and Scott Greenstone, the facility takes up 29,000 square feet and cost $19.2 million. Too bad there's no money in college athletics to pay the players.
