Victoria Gotti was born on November 27, 1962 in Brooklyn to Mafia boss John and his wife Victoria. She was raised in Queens with her siblings John Jr, Angel, and Frank.

Victoria Gotti’s Career in News Media

Victoria Gotti started her career in news media by writing columns for the New York Post. She also worked as a reporter for WNYW, which is New York City’s flagship station of the Fox network.

Transition to Writing

Gotti transitioned from news media to authoring books in the mid-90s. Her first release was “Women and Mitral Valve Prolapse,” chronicling her struggles with heart disease. She then published her first mystery novel, “The Senator’s Daughter,” and went on to write several more, including “I’ll Be Watching You,” “Superstar,” and “Hot Italian Dish.” Gotti also authored a memoir titled “This Family of Mine: What It Was Like Growing Up Gotti,” which was published in 2009.

Victoria Gotti’s Marriage and Divorce with Carmine Agnello

Despite her parents’ warnings, Victoria Gotti married mobster Carmine Agnello in 1984. The couple had three sons together before divorcing in 2003, when Agnello was in jail. As part of the divorce settlement, Gotti received Agnello’s $3.2 million mansion, which was later foreclosed on in 2009.

Victoria Gotti’s Abandoned Mansion

In 1989, Victoria and her then-husband Carmine Agnello purchased a 4-acre property in Old Westbury, New York for $175,000. They constructed a 7,000 square foot mansion over the next few years, which was featured in the reality series “Growing Up Gotti.” However, in 2001, Carmine was sentenced to serve 9 years in prison and forfeit $10 million worth of assets. Victoria became the sole legal owner of the mansion in 2004 after their divorce.

In 2016, the mansion was raided by the FBI in connection to a fraud investigation involving Victoria and her three sons. She also spent over a decade fighting foreclosure with JP Morgan Chase, reportedly owing $650,000 by 2009 after not making a single payment on the home for two years. Victoria attempted to sell the mansion multiple times, listing it for $3.5 million in 2008 and raising the price to $4.8 million.

By late 2021, the abandoned mansion had fallen into disrepair, with the pool filling with algae and the landscape overgrowing and dying. A YouTuber even did a tour of the property. The home was eventually sold at auction in October 2022 for $2.65 million to JP Morgan Chase.
