Personal Statement
I was part of a Relay Team that made history in Section 3 Girls & Boys swimming in 2019 which qualified us for States from a Consolation Final. Our hard work paid off and it reinforced my trust and support I have always had for my teammates. This was an honor to achieve and I dedicate this to my late father who introduced me to swimming in 2010 and had supported me from day one. In my freshman year, I pushed hard all year to make sectionals in my events and finally made it in the 50 free just before the end of our season and received Rookie of the Year. In my sophomore season, I was awarded Most Improved for making 5 events in Sectionals and States in our Relay. In my junior season, I gained the title of Most Valued for being the fastest girls 50-yard and 100-yard freestyler.
Academically, I am focused on finishing out my last year of High School achieving High Honors. I am in the National Art Honor Society and plan to continue that program as well as applying for the Honor Society my senior year. I really enjoy creating art, specifically painting and ceramics. I would love to continue utilizing my talents in College by getting involved in an art-focused program, volunteering, and continuing my strong commitment to swimming.
