Wayne Harmon Obituary, Death – On Friday, July 7, 2023, it was determined that Wayne Edward Harmon Sr., who had spent his whole life in Jersey City, New Jersey, had passed away, and the proclamation of death was made at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. On April 1st, 1952, Geraldine Delores Staples and Fred Harmon became parents to a son by the name of Wayne. They brought him into the world in Jersey City, New Jersey. Wayne was a trained electrical contractor who worked in a range of positions, including but not limited to managing electricians and working as a foreman for a wide variety of businesses located all across the state of New Jersey.

Wayne also owned his own firm, which specialized in providing electrical services to residential customers. Wayne Harmon began his education in the electrical trade at the tender age of seven, learning the craft from his father, Fred Harmon, whom he credits with both his expertise and his passion for the field of work. Because of the dedication and focus with which he approached his profession, he was able to pass on his knowledge of the trade to his son, Wayne Harmon Jr. There were a total of five African American males that were successful in completing the New Jersey State License Electrician Exam, and Fred Harmon was one of them. That included Harmon as one of the five. In addition to his many other achievements.

Wayne established Harmon Bros. Electric, where he served as Chief Executive Officer for the company until 1985. This is only one of Wayne’s numerous accomplishments. In addition to this, Wayne was responsible for the development of a number of properties located along Martin Luther King Drive in Jersey City, in addition to other projects located around the state. In addition to being very interested in the community where he lived, Wayne also served on a variety of boards and agencies located all around the state of New Jersey.
