“West Side” by Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande’s “West Side” is centered on what we will term as the simplicity of true love.  Ideally when two people are in love, their feelings for each other are in fact the most-important factor in their relationship. And that is the kind of notion that Ariana Grande is putting forth on “West Side”. Her romance with the addressee is not one that she wants to invest a massive amount of thinking into. Rather she desires to enjoy it – and him – for what it is. And along those same lines she wants him to adopt a similar disposition, i.e. ‘follow his emotions’, leading to a loving relationship with her.
