Joshua Dobbs’ wife-to-be, Jocelyn Lara, is an ambitious and hardworking individual. She rose to fame due to her boyfriend.
Robert Joshua Dobbs is no stranger to American football. He was born on January 26, 1995, and is a renowned quarterback who plays for the Tennessee Titans in the National Football League (NFL).
Before Week 16 of the 2022 regular season, the Titans added him to their active roster from the practice squad of the Detroit Lions.
Coming into his current team, Dobbs has an impressive record under his belt having been chosen as one of the top picks in the 2017 NFL Draft from Tennessee’s collegiate football program.
His size and skillful playing aided him in being selected by the Steelers as the 135th overall pick in the fourth round of this prestigious competition.
Prior to joining the Steelers, Dobbs worked for the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022, playing in 37 games throughout his four years at the University of Tennessee from 2013-2016, where he set several school records, such as the most quarterback-rushing touchdowns and yards (2,160).
Away from football, little is known about Dobbs’ personal life and relationship status; however, it is believed that he is in a long-term relationship with fellow University of Tennessee alumnus Jocelyn Noveck.
Despite their public lives, they remain tight-lipped on their romance and rarely share any insights into their relationship on social media platforms. Their first PDA picture was posted while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas in 2022.
Joshua Dobbs earned his degree in 2016 with a 4.0 GPA in Aerospace Engineering from the same University Jocelyn Lara attended, graduating with her Bachelor’s in Marketing and Supply Chain Management in 2019.
Lara and Joshua Dobbs, whose partnership was officially acknowledged in a photo in 2021, differ significantly from the typical player-and-partner (WAG) relationship commonly seen in the NFL.
Their relationship is setting a new standard for thoughtful and guarded partnerships, which is favored by many.
About Jocelyn Lara
Jocelyn Lara was born on December 10, 1996, to Jose Lara and Delmy Zelaya of Chelsea, Massachusetts.
Growing up with two siblings – Arnold Lara and Jessica Lara Echevarria – has proven formative in her life.
Additionally, Ms. Lara resided in Atlanta, Georgia for a period of time. Her ambition is evident in her educational achievement; Ms. Lara graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain and marketing from the University of Tennessee in 2019.
Not only did Jocelyn attend the same college as Joshua but she also served as the football team’s recruiting assistant during that time, allowing the pair to share a connection throughout their studies.
In February 2020, Jocelyn Lara participated in the NFL Women’s Careers in Football Forum, and later that year, she served as the head football coach’s executive assistant at the University of Minnesota.
In June 2021, Lara joined Team IFA, a Minneapolis-based sports management company, as a client relations coordinator. Later that year in October, Lara began working as an account manager for Generation Adidas International in Atlanta.
Much more than just an academic achiever, she also gave back to the university during her time there with projects like football recruiting.
WAG has a well-established history with sports. Until 2020, she served as the executive assistant of the University of Minnesota’s head football coach.
This connection was invaluable when it came time to find her next job – two well-established sport management firms have since employed her.
Currently, she is working as an account manager for Generation Adidas International in Atlanta, and before that occupied a client relations coordinator role at IFA, a full-service sports management firm based in Minneapolis.
Jocelyn Echevarria, sister of WAG’s husband Orlando, is also a successful professional; she works as a senior credit analyst for GM Financial.
