BBC drama Poldark will soon be back on our screens, with series five due to come out later this year.
Filming wrapped on the period drama in February 2019, and announcements have since been made that the series will feature a number of new characters, including Catherine Despard.

Who plays Catherine Despard?
Poldark’s Catherine Despard is played by British actress Kerri McLean.
Originally from Birmingham, the 44-year-old moved to London to study Modern Drama Studies at Brunel University.
Kerri then started working professionally as an actress in 2001 and has since gone on to become a theatre director and producer.

What else has she starred in?
Kerri has had her fair share of soap roles, playing characters in Eastenders, Hollyoaks, Holby City and Casualty.
However, when it comes to dramas, Keri has plenty of experience, having starred in BBC smash hit series Bodyguard alongside Richard Madden and Keely Hawes.
The actress has also appeared in other successful series such as The Discovery of Witches and The Ritual.
