Personal Statement

I am interested in playing soccer at the University level in the US, ideally on a scholarship.  I currently considered one of the top center backs in the Ontario Academy Soccer League in my age group and our team is curently ranked #6  in Canada by GotSoccer.   I possess several charactisitics as a player that make me a valuable member to any team.  Key qualities are:  excellent passing, strong defense with the best tackling ability in my team and possibly in the league itself.   I am an excellent slide tackler with impeccable timing that makes it extremely hard to beat me.    I am also a force in the air - although this is a part of my game I am working hard to improve.  I am a quick learner who took up soccer late but through focused hard work is getting better and better as a player whether its technique, ball control, mastery in the air and general soccer IQ.

I have been selected into a special program for Gifted Athletics at Northview High School in Toronto, Canada.  I have a 4.0 GPA and plan on attending a college or university where I can participate in a top soccer program and also get a good education.

I would like to see what opportunities  there are for me to attend a top university soccer program.
